From Las Vegas: the 7-day Mighty 5 loop
Vegas has the cheapest rentals and the most flights. Seven days is the minimum viable trip for all five parks — as long as you accept 2–3 hours of driving per day.
| Day | Plan | Drive | Sleep |
|---|---|---|---|
| D1 | Vegas → Zion (via I-15) | 2.5h | Springdale / Hurricane |
| D2 | Zion all day (Angels Landing / Scout Lookout + mouth of the Narrows) | Shuttle in park | Same |
| D3 | Zion → Bryce; sunset + Navajo Loop in the afternoon | 1.5h | Bryce Canyon City |
| D4 | Bryce sunrise → Scenic Byway 12 → Capitol Reef | 2.5h | Torrey |
| D5 | Capitol Reef (Fruita + Scenic Drive) → Moab | 3.5h | Moab |
| D6 | Arches all day (enter before 7:00 AM to skip the line; Delicate Arch at sunset) | 0.5h | Moab |
| D7 | Canyonlands (Mesa Arch sunrise + Island in the Sky) → back to Vegas | 6h | Vegas or en route |
Three execution notes
- D2's Angels Landing requires winning the lottery in advance — work backward from your travel month to the application window; see the lottery timeline & .ics reminders.
- D6 Arches demands an early start: in peak season, entrance lines after 8 AM can exceed an hour.
- Only 5 days? Cut Capitol Reef and D7's Canyonlands; keep one full day each for Zion, Bryce, and Arches.
